The open spaces of the Jura allow for complete freedom of movement and the chance to take a deep breath amidst the ethereal coniferous forests.
Rock climbing
The Jura is a mecca for rock climbing enthusiasts. The variety of rock formations and the difficulty levels of the routes make it a popular destination for both professionals and amateurs alike. The crags nestled within the woodland offer a genuine escape from reality and bring us closer to nature. The views stretching out from the top of the routes are a unique reward for the effort.
Horse riding
Not far from My Little Tuscany in Udorze (6.5 km) lies a horse riding centre set amongst picturesque hills. It is a fantastic place to begin your adventure with horse riding or to develop your passion and skills. Interacting with these magnificent, graceful animals is a unique experience that will stay with you for a long time.
Cycling tours
The trails and paths in the Jura region form a network that is virtually endless, meaning you can go on a short ride or plan a full-day excursion covering many kilometres. The variety of landscapes and terrain means you can easily plan a challenging, technical ride for the more adventurous, or a gentle family ride where everyone will be happy. You can start your cycle trip directly from the cottage or drive to your chosen starting point.
Team sports – public sports complex
In Pilica, near the village where our farm is located, there is a very well-equipped, public sports complex. The complex features a football pitch, a tennis court, a beach volleyball court, a basketball court, a playground, a table tennis table and an outdoor gym. The area is surrounded by greenery and is a welcoming space that encourages active outdoor recreation in the company of friends or family.
Hiking
Wherever you look, there are paths and trails, both across open fields and through the woods. This offers plenty of options for those who like to plan their trips meticulously and ambitiously, as well as for those who simply want to ‘pop out’ for a short stroll without much planning. My Little Tuscany is situated in a peaceful countryside, offering the chance to go for a long or short walk without having to get in the car. All you need to do is step out of the cottage and walk along the ridges of the rolling hills.
